Another busy day started with a walk to Venice Beach for breakfast at the Fig Tree restaurant. Walkign back I dipped my toes in the pacific ocean as I negotiated a contract for directing Not Only Angels Can Fly.  It's the best way of doing business! Meetings with composers, producers and financiers to come later today.

Good news, sound engineer Phil Cape has viewed the assembly and is really pleased with how far we are already. More work to do in the post-production process but so far so good. It was surreal to have the conversation as I sat by the pool under the cloudless sky while he was in the north of England with the rain falling. I can see why the film business in based in California it makes sucha  difference to be working under the sunny skies and azure blue that is LA.
